A Few Nightmares Before the Sleep

The performance A Few Nightmares Before the Sleep is a version of the Nightmares from the Archive performance from 2014, with added segments from the action Awakening /2017. The performance is based on the dreams, so-called nightmares, whose manifest content is a frightening, anxious situation, and the dreams themselves are marked by repetition and sudden awakening. The dreams are selected from the on line project Dream Archive, a domain where users can archive their dreams, realised in 2013. In the context of the author’s longtime dealing with the dream phenomenon, the Dream Archive since its inception also has been, a growing material base for the emergence of a series works in various media, in which the dreams from the Archive are the basic constructive and motivating content.
