Marijan’s Dream

The performance is based on artist Marijan Crtalić’s dream. As the performance begins artist take off the shirt  and soak it in a blue pot. Then put the shirt back and climb the ladder leaning against the wall. While sitting on the ladder artist listen to the audio recording of the of Marijan’s dream, together with the audience, and then climb down the ladder. Simultaneously, video recording of artist climbing up and down the ladder, is projected over the ladder onto the wall. The ladder suggests transcendental, mystical nature of a dream. Drenched shirt and ‘doubling’ the acts happening in the projection signify the attempt to communicate between conscious-self with unconscious-self which is necessary to get closer to dream mystery.
