Sieroca

The work was realized as part of the Grassomania Festival in Gdansk, organized by Gdansk Galeria Mijeska (curator Marta Wroblewska). The eighth edition of this festival called Sieroca Revisited was held in the historical center of Gdańsk, Sieroca Street, a former orphanage and children’s hospital.

The intervention consisted in applying prints of selected texts from the Dream Archive, translated into Polish, on the wooden doors of old warehouses and sheds in Sieroca Street, which are about to be demolished. Selected dreams in their manifest content describe living spaces or phantasmagoric architectural constructions and structures, through which he unconsciously processes traumas or different emotional experiences through dreams.
