The Choice

The initial reference in the ambient intervention The Choice,  is the answer of the writer Vladan Desnica to the frequently asked question regarding his national orientation as a writer. When asked whose writer he is, Croatian or Serbian, Vladan Desnica once answered with the word ‘or’. He chose the word / conjunction ‘or’ as a crossroads, but also as an answer that combines both possibilities and at the same time nullifies any necessity of choice. This ‘thoughtful’ answer confirms and illustrates his entire work in which being a writer goes beyond any national commitment.

In the intervention, the word ‘or’ was projected in the outer part of the building Kula Janković / Islam Grčki, in which Vladan Desnica grew up.
